A tour of the most technologically advanced bearing facility in the world – located at Dube Tradeport

Reelin Bearings in a joint venture initiative with Amsted Rail formed AmstedReelin, a black owned majority Joint Venture which operates a state of the art computerised facility to remanufacture used and assemble new bearings. AmstedReelin began trading by producing local content on the reconditioning of bearings for the railroad industry. Today, both Reelin and AmstedReelin product offerings have diversified to Draft Gears and together with Amsted Rail, developed a Motion Control Bogie for the South African market. A great achievement and opportunity to produce a product designed for the 1064mm cape gauge lines, which is on offer to Transnet Engineering pending testing procedures.
